The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 13 Huntebrinker allegedly took 39 cartons of cigarettes valued in excess of $300 from Midwest Petroleum in Granite City. On Jan. 14 he allegedly took a TV valued in excess of $500 from Sam’s Club in Glen Carbon.
Bail was set at $20,000.
Other felony charges filed March 10 include:
• Donna K. Greer, 67, of Alton, was charged with retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, from March 6-8 Greer allegedly took 10 bottles of Jameson whiskey and “multiple other bottles of various liquor” valued in excess of $300 from Schnucks in Alton. Bail was set at $15,000.
• Shane D. Echols, 21, of Wood River, was charged with theft under $500 (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On March 9 Echols allegedly took a BMX-style bike valued in excess of $500 from another person. It was noted he has a 2020 conviction for burglary out of Madison County. Bail was set at $15,000.
• Jerry L. Jordan, 50, of Granite City, was charged with possession of burglary tools, a Class 4 felony, and obstruction of identification, a Class A misdemeanor. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. On March 9 Jordan allegedly had a reciprocating saw “suitable for use in breaking into a vehicle" and removing the catalytic converter. He also is accused of providing a fake name to a Granite City police officer. Bail was set at $20,000.
