Realme VP Mr. Xu Qi Chase posted a picture with Japanese designer Mr. Naoto Fukasawa yesterday to tease a new smartphone launch. Mr. Chase didn't divulge anything about this phone, but today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that Realme's upcoming smartphone will be the GT 5G Master Edition, which could be designed by Mr. Fukasawa like Realme's previous Master Edition phones.
The first Master Edition smartphone by Realme was a specially designed version of the Realme X launched in 2019, which came in two variants - Garlic and Onion. The same year, Realme launched the X2 Pro Master Edition in Red Brick and Concrete versions, followed by the X50 5G Master Edition, which was inspired by lines and circles.

It's unclear what will be the design inspiration for the GT 5G Master Edition, but it is worth mentioning that the GT 5G Master Edition is not the only special edition smartphone Realme's working on.
Back in March, we saw a few pictures of what's believed to be the X9 Pro Master Edition Concrete version with a curved screen and triple cameras on the back.

While the GT 5G Master Edition may come with a new finish, the underlying hardware will likely remain the same as the regular GT 5G, meaning you'll get Snapdragon 888 SoC, 6.43" 120Hz FullHD+ Super AMOLED screen, in-display fingerprint reader, 64MP triple camera on the back, and 4,500 mAh battery with 65W charging.
Our Realme GT 5G review is underway, but in the meantime, you can read our first impressions of the smartphone here.
