Realme Buds Air 3, 150W UltraDart charging, and Book Prime launched at MWC 2022

Realme Book Prime, Realme Buds Air 3, and the world’s first 100W to 200W UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA) have been announced at Realme’s MWC 2022 event. These products were unveiled alongside the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro flagship smartphones.

The Realme Book Prime builds on Realme Book Slim as the company’s first notebook for this year. The Buds Air 3 is a successor for the Buds Air 2 TWS earbuds from last year.

Realme Book Prime specifications and features

Realme Book Prime features a 2.5K resolution display

The Realme Book Prime has a 2.5K resolution supporting display and comes with an aluminium chassis that measures 14.9mm in thickness. The Intel Core i5-11320H processor with Iris X GPU powers the Book Prime. The device comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.

The Book Prime comes preinstalled with Windows. The laptop offers other features such as dual-fan VC liquid cooling technology, backlit keyboard with a large touchpad, up to 12 hours of battery life, PC Connect functionality, DTS powered stereo sound output, and Thunderbolt 4.

Realme Buds Air 3 promises up to 30hrs of playback time

The Realme Buds Air 3 is equipped with 10mm dynamic Bass Boost audio drivers. For clearer voice calls, it comes with dual noise cancellation microphones. The new TWS promises 30 hours of total playback time. The other features that are available on the Buds Air 3 include Dolby Atmos support, customised audio tuning, dual device connection support, transparency mode, 88ms low latency mode for gaming, and anti-wind technology, Lastly, the Buds Air 3 offers IPX5 rated sweat and water resistance.

Realme’s 100 to 200W UltraDart charging technology

Existing Realme phones offer up to 65W fast charging. The new UDCA offers charging speeds ranging from 100W to 200W on some of the upcoming Realme smartphones. The new charging tech will allow a Realme phone to reach 0 to 50 percent charge in just 5 minutes. The company added that its “Temperature Management Algorithm” will make sure that the battery temperature will remain below 43°C while charging. It confirmed that the Realme GT Neo 3 will carry support for 150W UDCA tech. Hence, it appears that the company may launch 200W flagship phones, and affordable models with 100W charging support.

Realme Book Prime, Buds Air 3 pricing and availability

The Realme Book Prime edition with Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage is priced at €999 (~Rs 84,200), whereas the higher model with Core i5, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage costs €1,099 (~Rs 92,650). It comes in three colours such as Real Blue, Real Grey, and Real Green. The Realme Buds Air 3 is priced at €59 (~Rs 5,000). It can be purchased in two colours such as Galaxy White and Starry Blue. The company is yet to confirm the availability of these products for the European markets. Both models are also expected to arrive in India in future.
