This is one of our favorite streaming devices. This updated model (8/10, WIRED Recommends) now adds a remote and includes Google TV, so you don't have to stream from your phone (but you could, if you want to!). Google TV's interface also got an upgrade, and it's quite nice.

If you don't need the newest Paperwhite, this is the cheapest we've ever seen the Kindle get. You'll still get nice features, like a 6-inch E Ink screen with a front light so you can read in the dark. If you have a Bluetooth speaker, you can stream Audible books, too. If you can spring another $20, we recommend going with the no-ad model for $70 ($40 off).
