A few days ago, Samsung had started teasing a new Galaxy F series smartphone for the Indian market. Today, the company has launched the Galaxy F23 5G, which is the first smartphone in the price segment to feature a 144Hz display and a powerful Snapdragon 750G processor.
The smartphone sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD Infinity-V display with Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. At the front, the phone has a 13MP selfie camera. At the rear, there are three cameras: 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
Samsung has equipped the smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, which can offer a decent gaming experience according to the price. There is 4GB/6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The device runs Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box, and it will get two major Android OS updates and four years of security updates.
The mid-range smartphone has 5G connectivity. Other features include LTE, dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy F23 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint reader as well.
Galaxy F23 5G pricing
Samsung has priced the 4GB RAM variant of the Galaxy F23 5G at INR 17,499 (around $233). The 6GB RAM variant of the device is priced at INR 18,499 (around $246). However, these two variants will be available at an introductory price of INR 14,999 (around $199) and INR 15,999 (around $213), respectively, via Flipkart. The introductory price includes the INR 1,000 cashback via ICICI Bank cards.
The Galaxy F23 5G will go on sale in India starting March 16 at 12 PM. The device will be available through Flipkart and Samsung’s online store in India.
