Honor is gearing up for the launch of its next premium smartphone series. The company recently unveiled the Honor 50 series for the global market with the launch of the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Lite. The two devices feature a Snapdragon 778G SoC and a Snapdragon 662 SoC, respectively. It looks like the successor of the Honor 50 series could launch sooner than expected. The Honor 60 series is rumoured to launch soon in China. According to leaked details, the Huawei spin-off brand will debut the series in China in December. Ahead of the launch, a possible Honor 60 series smartphone is listed on the 3C certification website. Let’s take a look at the Honor 60 series specs and other details revealed via the online certification listing.
Honor 60 series 3C
Honor is yet to announce the launch date of the Honor 60 series. Meanwhile, the device is listed on the 3C certification website with the model number GIA-AN00. The listing on 3C reveals the fast charging details of the upcoming Honor smartphone. It will come with 66W fast charging support. The charging speed is the same as the currently available Honor 50 series.
The vanilla Honor 50 launched in China comes with 66W fast charging support, whereas the Pro model supports 100W fast charging. Even the SE model launched in China comes with 66W fast charging support. Therefore, we can expect the upcoming Honor smartphone with the model number GIA-AN00 to be the vanilla Honor 60 or the SE model.
It is rumoured that the devices will debut in China on December 1. However, the company has not confirmed the launch date at the moment. Details of the vanilla model leaked so far suggest that the device will have a pill-shaped camera cutout on the upper left corner of the display. It will sport a quad-camera setup on the back. The phone is said to pack a 4500 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. If true, it would be an upgrade over the current model’s Snapdragon 778G SoC.
The Pro model is tipped to feature a single hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the display. It will sport five camera sensors. Since there is no official word, it is advised to take the leaked details with a pinch of salt.
