Honor has launched its new budget 5G smartphone in China. The Honor X30 Max is the company’s latest 5G smartphone that is aimed for users who consume a lot of content on their smartphone. The X30 Max has a large 7.09-inch display, which is quite rare in smartphones these days. It does not have an AMOLED display though. Honor’s X-series smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup on the back. The phone also packs a beefy battery under the hood. Honor X30 Max price
Honor has launched the X30 Max in two storage configurations. The base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage has been launched for CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs 28,000). There is also a 256GB storage option, priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs 31,500). It comes in three colours – Black, Sea Blue and Titanium Silver. There is no word on the smartphone’s launch in India at the moment.
Specifications and features
As mentioned above, the X30 Max features a 7.09-inch TFT LCD with a 1080 x 2280 resolution. The screen has 100 percent of DCI-P3 colour gamut and offers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, despite having a water-drop notch on top. Honor claims that the phone has 780 nits of peak brightness and comes with HDR10 support.
Under the hood, the phone draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM as standard. The phone comes with up to 256GB of internal storage. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. The phone comes with Android 11-based Magic UI 5.0 out of the box.
On the back, the dual-camera system includes a 64MP primary camera. It also features a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8MP front camera sensor. It comes with stereo speakers and houses a USB Type-C port. The phone weighs 228 grams and is 8.3mm thick.
Other specs include 5G network support, dual SIM, dual-band WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, etc.
