[Update: Deal Over]
iQOO launched the iQOO 3 back in February 2020 in the country with a price tag of Rs 38,990. The device is now selling at almost 50% discount in India which makes it available for under Rs 20,000. This price cut is a part of a limited-time offer. This means that you can get a Snapdragon 865 powered smartphone for under Rs 20,000 which is certainly a tempting deal. IQOO 3 is one of the first 5G smartphones in the country. This is not the first time the iQOO 3 has received a price cut in India. iQOO 3 features a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 865, 64MP quad-camera setup and more. With the odds like POCO X3 Pro or Redmi Note 10 Pro, is this worth buying? Let’s find out ahead:
iQOO 3 Now Available For Rs 17,495
iQOO 3 is now selling for just Rs 17,495 for the base variant of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage on its official website. You can also buy the 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variant for Rs 18,995 and Rs 22,495 respectively. The 12GB+256GB variant supports 5G connectivity.
iQOO 3 sports a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has a quad-rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary camera, a 13MP telephoto lens with 20x digital zoom, a 13MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Under the hood, the iQOO 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. iQOO 3 has a 4,440mAh battery that features up to 55W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top of the device.
Is the iQOO 3 Worth Buying?
If you are looking for a gaming beast under Rs 20,000, then iQOO 3 is a perfect companion for you. You are getting an AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865, a telephoto camera, 8GB RAM in a single package which definitely makes it a steal deal. However, while the other competitors like Redmi Note 10 Pro with a 120Hz Super AMOLED panel or POCO X3 Pro with a 120Hz IPS LCD panel are offering higher refresh rates, the iQOO 3 sticks to just 60Hz.
The iQOO 3 runs on Snapdragon 865 which is the first-ever chipset with 5G support. You can get the POCO X3 Pro with Snapdragon 860 by adding 1k more to your budget. But still, the Snapdragon 865 is slightly more powerful, and iQOO makes it more affordable than the Snapdragon 860. It can handle heavy games like BGMI, Asphalt 9 Legends, COD:Mobile easily. Additionally, it has shoulder mounted triggers buttons which comes handy in playing multiplayer shooters like BGMI.
The device features a 48MP quad-camera setup with a 13MP telephoto lens which you won’t get in any other phones at this price point. If you are looking for support for a telephoto lens in your phone, then iQOO 3 is the right choice for you. The iQOO 3 runs on Android 10 out of the box. iQOO has already promised 2 major Android updates for the phone that means it will get updates till Android 12.
iQOO 3 comes with a 4400mAh battery that supports up to 55W charging. Not many devices in this range offer fast charging, Realme X7 with 50W SuperDart charging and iQOO Z3 offers 55W fast charging under this range. The fastest charging speed we get is 65W from Realme 7 pro which is available for Rs 17,999.
The other option you get in this range is Redmi Note 10 Pro, POCO X3 Pro and Realme 7 Pro. You can also add the newly announced iQOO Z3 5G or Realme X7 in this price range. However, neither of these devices can match the performance level of iQOO 3 nor they have any telephoto lens. Most of them don’t support more than 33W charging. So in a conclusion, if you are looking for a phone that offers you powerful performance, a telephoto lens, fast charging and an AMOLED panel then iQOO 3 is no doubt the best phone you can get for Rs 17,495. You can also get the 5G variant for Rs 22,495.
