Nokia PureBook 14 could come as Lite and Foldable edition

The MWC2022 was unique because Nokia showcased products produced by licensees on its stand in Hall 3. Seeing several Nokia-branded consumer products displayed at one place, one could legitimately ask what year it is or if this is Nokia World 2009.

Nokia PureBook 14 could come as Lite and Foldable edition

For the first time, the world got to know OffGlobal, the latest licensee of the Nokia brand, but for laptops that are going to be distributed mostly in Europe. The company started in 2021 by introducing Intel I3 powered 17-inch and 15-inch laptops, but their CEO announced that laptops with Intel I5 and I7 chipsets would be coming too, but more compact laptops were not mentioned.

OFFGlobal also displayed some prototypes at the Nokia booth, including Nokia PureBook Lite 14 and Nokia PureBook Fold 14. The products were not announced, and their hardware configuration is unknown. It seems, however, that those could be available at various markets by the end of the year since those look like a finished product. With a rather heavy 15 and 17 PureBook Pro series, OFFGlobal is probably aiming at launching something lighter and more versatile, which is a smart decision.

Generally, foldable laptops come with a touch UI, which is not perfect on Windows, but usable nonetheless. The addition of the pen could and probably will make it even more useful.
