The Redmi Note 11S looked the same as the Redmi Note 11 in the official images, but in reality there is an extra layer of glass on top of the camera island, making it stick out even more, and the device is a bit more wobbly when lying on its back on a flat surface.
Speaking of cameras, there lies the biggest difference between the S version and the vanilla one. The Redmi Note 11S has a 108MP sensor behind the f/1.9 lens compared to the 50MP F/1.8 on the Note 11. The selfie camera is also upgraded from a 13MP F/2.4 to a 16MP f/2.4 unit.
